Striking A Balance Between Physical And Online Events

Search engines, blogs, and social media platforms offer a vast array of information at minimal cost or none at all. It is in this light that there is a rise in the volume of content consumed, and the volume of content produced on social media. This has seen a rise in creators as they emerge being involved with "new media".

New media refers to products and services delivered digitally to its audience that provide information or entertainment using smartphones, computers or the internet. New media is known for its ability to engage the audience, making a form of interaction. Some examples of new media include: blogs, mobile apps, social media networks, streaming services, websites, etc.
Digital resources which are served online offer a wide scope of view with diverse perspectives. Creators get to share reviews, analysis, and experience.

With the availability of sufficient information online these days, you get to learn at your own pace, or with work/learning groups.

Today, Developers are making it more seamless to utilize digital resources and tools with increased ease of use.

Both physical and online meetings have their pros and cons. Utilizing each as a preferred choice will depend on the context, purpose, and preferences of the participants.

Most folks value face-to-face interaction, socializing, networking, and instant feedback. However, the distance, cost of getting to the venue for the event, and timing may be some of the major challenges.

For online meetings, they are flexible, cost-effective, and can accommodate large numbers of participants. On the flip side though, there could be technical issues, difficulty in sensing or carrying the audience along, lack of focus or engagement from participants.

Finally

To manage both, a hybrid approach is welcomed, meaning you can combine physical and online meetings for flexibility and involvement of more folks. Be clear about what you want to achieve with the event, then engage.

Cheers! Have a good one.
